Early Bird Registration for Faculty/Researchers – $105.00
Available for ANHS individual and faculty members through April 15.
Early Bird Student tickets – $75.00

On-site Registration
ANHS members who do not register before August 1st will be required to pay any membership fees, as well as the registration for their category, plus a $25 surcharge.
Regular registration for faculty and researchers – $125.00

Himalayan Studies Conference V is scheduled for September 1-4, 2017 (Labor Day Weekend) in the Eaton Humanities Building at the University of Colorado Boulder. The conference will start the evening of Friday the 1st and end by midday on Monday the 4th. It's a great time of year to visit Colorado! For more information, visit the conference website.

We are pleased to announce our keynote speakers for HSC V will be the acclaimed author Manjushree Thapa, whose works of fiction and non-fiction explore current events in Nepal and themes of war and peace, development and diaspora, and the scholar and writer Lama Jabb, Research Fellow at Oxford University, whose research focuses on modern Tibetan literature and its interface with oral traditions.

There will be a pre-conference session for graduate students with Charles Ramble of Oxford University and CU Boulder Faculty. It will include presentations on the various phases of graduate research and time to workshop grant proposals and other materials in small groups. The pre-conference session for graduate students will take place from 10-3pm (with lunch included) on Friday, September 1st in UMC 425. Please sign up during the registration process as there are only 25 spots for the pre-conference session, available on a "first come, first serve" basis.

The conference begins Friday, September 1 at 6pm with a plenary session and welcome dinner.
